Job Title: Surgical Tech - CST/Surgical Tech

Job Summary:

The Surgical Tech - CST/Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. They ensure that the operating room environment is safe, equipment is sterile, and necessary instruments are available for the surgeon.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Prepare operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment is functioning properly.

2. Assist in positioning and draping patients for surgery.

3. Pass surgical instruments to surgeons during procedures.

4. Sterilize and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.

5. Monitor and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.

6. Assist in transferring patients to and from the operating room.

7. Provide support to surgical team as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.

2. Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.

3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

6. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

7. Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
