What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Provide medical oversight of clinical trials to ensure compliance with company SOPs, client directives, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct medical reviews and analyses for clinical trial serious adverse events and periodic safety reports
• Communicate effectively with clients, investigators, and project team members regarding study-related medical questions
• Monitor safety variables of clinical studies and discuss medical concerns with principal investigators and clients
• Contribute to departmental process improvement initiatives and provide therapeutic training as needed
  
  
  

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• MD or equivalent required; active medical licensure preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical trial experience in a Contract Research Organization or pharmaceutical company
• 2 years of clinical experience in treating patients in the specialty or sub-specialty associated with training
• Strong understanding of FDA, ICH, EMA, and GCP guidelines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Background as a formally trained Geneticist with clinical experience
• Experience in safety/pharmacovigilance
• Working knowledge of biostatistics and clinical operations procedures
• Ability to mentor and train other staff within pharmacovigilance
