The Bookkeeper position plays a crucial role in the success of Rusnak Automotive Group by meticulously managing bank and floor plan reconciliations across all franchise locations. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate sales records and executing various accounting duties and processes effectively.
What You’ll Do
- Banking Functions:
- Reconcile all bank activity daily to ensure alignment with company records; verify accuracy of all EFT transactions.
- Prepare monthly floor plan reconciliations, ensuring consistency with bank records.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist Controller and Accounting Managers:
- Support month-end procedures and reconciliation processes.
- Manage documentation archiving and retrieval for auditing purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and statistical data under Controller’s guidance.
- Client Relations:
- Maintain a strong client-centric approach aligned with "The Rusnak Standard."
- Communicate courteously and professionally to understand and address client needs effectively.
- Corporate Culture and Brand Representation:
- Uphold Rusnak’s brand values and corporate culture in all interactions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Professional Development:
- Actively seek opportunities to enhance organizational and communication skills.
- Stay updated with job knowledge and product information relevant to the role.
- Safety and Teamwork:
- Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively within the team to meet client demands and operational requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years in a bookkeeper or similar position within the automotive industry.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with at least 3 years of retail-related experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Desired: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.
