Here’s a summary of what our Escorted Tour Operations is looking for in its Administration Assistant Manager. Is this you?
Responsibilities:
- Manages the seasonal Payroll, Tour Director Expense reporting, and our purchase order process.
- Provides supervision, training, mentoring, and coaching throughout the year for our seasonal team members.
- Organizes team member schedules, pre-tour and post trip reports and a variety of IT applications which are imperative for the success of the overall operation.
- Manages the annual recruiting efforts, that include overseeing the data management and compliance aspect of the seasonal hiring.
- Manages the annual employee relocation, housing, and other logistical aspects of seasonal team members.
- Creates and develops variety of analytics through our ETO Application that will assist in operational and financial performance.
- Prepares annual training curriculum for seasonal team.
- Participates in our Manager on Duty program.
- Additional duties as needed by operations needs.
Requirements:
- This job normally requires a bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Event Management or other relevant majors.
- Two years industry-related experience that included recruiting, hiring, and supervisory experience.
- Previous experience in Public Speaking and Group Facilitation with strong communication skills: written and verbal.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to travel into Canada.
- A valid Passport or the ability to obtain before the beginning of our peak season.
- A current, valid driver’s license and the ability to pass our clean company driving requirements.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America Line/Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Develops strong working relationship with other divisional operations working closely with numerous stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, to maintain an attention to detail, while working in a group or team environment.
- Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees, management, and customers.
