The Medical Assistant will normally work from Monday through Thursday from 6:30am to 3:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The Radiologic Technologist will not work more than 40 hours a week.
Summary Of Duties
Provide basic Medical and Administrative services to process accurate, error-free written correspondence, file medical records; filing of documents into the medical record ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries, obtain records for clinical staff and administrative staff; assist with sick call as per request of clinical staff; obtain vital signs, accurately recording preliminary complaints, maintaining records and logs; able to obtain laboratory samples.
Qualifications
The contractor is expected to wear professional clothing while on duty (scrub uniforms are approved). The attire worn shall also be appropriate for the correctional environment in which the contract employee will be performing.

- Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Clearance Requirements: National Background Check with Inquires, Fingerprints and Drug Screen.
- Type of Employment: Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
- Estimate Pay: $27.34/hour.
- Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80-hours per year, occurring on day one.
- Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56-hours per year, occurring on day one.
- Paid Federal Holidays: Twelve (12) Paid Federal Holidays

Qualifications
- Must have completed a Medical Assistant course of study.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from the state of Connecticut.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience as Medical Assistant.
- Have experience in the field of medicine dealing with ill patients/adults in custody either in a hospital or clinic facility.
- Must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified either by the American Red Cross (ARC)or the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Copies of all certification and resume must be forward with your application.

- Recognize given medical terminology from the clinical staff.
- Process accurate, error-free written correspondence in medical records.
- File medical records.
- File documents into the medical record ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries.
- Obtain records for clinical staff and administrative staff.
- Assist with sick call as per request of clinical staff.
- Obtain vital signs, accurately recording preliminary complaints, maintaining records and logs.
- Obtain laboratory samples such as performing routine phlebotomy, and other tests as required by clinical staff.
- Conduct audiometric and visual testing.
- Perform EKGs.
