Position Summary
The Battery Cell Product Quality Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of PQC inspectors who perform cell in-process inspection and OQC inspectors who perform cell out-going inspection utilizing appropriate inspection equipment and methodology in support of the Cell Product Quality Manager. The Cell Product Quality Supervisor is responsible for verification of standards for all cell inspections and for updating and optimizing cell inspection standards as needed. The Cell Product Quality Supervisor is responsible to ensure that all cell inspections and production process controls are carried out based on the internal procedures and policies. When cell defects are found, the Cell Product Quality Supervisor must lead containment, analysis, and resolution to prevent defect propagation. The Cell Product Quality Supervisor is also responsible for documentation, communication, and sharing of corrective actions for all issues.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct training, coaching, and mentoring support for PQC / OQC Inspectors. Ensure PQC / OQC Inspectors complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Lead investigation and root cause analysis of non-conformances. Ensure continuous monitoring of all corrective actions and process improvement measures.
- Review and update inspection standards, specifications, manuals, procedures / forms, and lesson learned activities. Facilitate reviews to eliminate internal systemic and external roadblocks.
- Ensure on-going data collection and analysis to assure quality and perform data analysis to identify areas for improvement of quality system. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to clarify business and technical requirements for Cell Quality Assurance.
- Continues improvement activity to optimize and enhance the efficiency of quality and inspection systems and prepare updates and reports of quality outcome to communicate quality activities.
- Maintain inspection equipment and perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to ensure inspection accuracy and repeatability
- Perform other position related duties as assigned
Basic:
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skill
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial automation and controls experience with strong foundation in project management
- Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally
- Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering
- ASQ Certification in Quality and Reliability
- Bilingual English / Korean
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
- Shainin Red X or Six Sigma Certification
- Experience with Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process, MSA, and SPC.
- Familiar with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation
- Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
