Description
The Project Manager has overall project responsibility for assigned projects from commencement through the warranty period. Typical project size ranges from $200,000-3,000,000 but may be larger, with execution duration of 2-12 months. Project types include, but are not limited to, design, supply and construction installation.

The Project Manager has overall project responsibility for assigned projects from commencement through the warranty period. Responsibilities
- Review and ensure acceptability of client purchase order or contract and coordinate with HRST Contract Administrator for purchase order acknowledgement.
- Ensure correct NetSuite project set up and sales order.
- Lead internal and client project kick-off meetings to review project scope, schedule, budget, and risks.
- Review deliverable schedule, as-sold margins, schedule, and other project goals and ensure those goals are reasonable given the resources available. If not, identify additional resources necessary to accomplish project goals.
- Plan and execute procurement management. Issue subcontracts and supply purchase orders. Lead kick-off meetings with suppliers and vendors.
- Foresee risks to the project achieving its established goals; develop and execute mitigation steps.
- Identify project tasks and resources to accomplish tasks. Develop an overall project schedule and aggressively manage schedule to minimize cost, improve delivery and ensure high-quality project outcome.
- Effectively communicate project information to project team, affected management, client, vendors and suppliers. Schedule regular project review sessions and communication to ensure project success. Plan and monitor stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure the customer is properly informed of project status. Coordinate and document work scope and project needs with customer and within HRST. Ensure suitable document control, timely submittals and project turnover documentation.
- Anticipate and communicate change orders and contract agreements, including invoicing upon reaching financial milestones. Approve payment of project expenditures.
- Develop project financial tracking and use information to actively manage resources and tasks to improve profit, quality, and delivery. Provide bi-weekly updates to project team and HRST management.
- Responsible for coordinating design, procurement/quality control, delivery, and installation.
- Ensure development and implementation of project safety plan.
- Ensure timely project close out. Deliver project postmortem following project completion. Ensure lessons-learned are assigned for implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management tools and skills.
- Exemplary planning, organization, communication, and computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Takes ownership for integrity, results and professionalism in all project aspects.
- 5-10 years of professional project management experience.
- 2 or more years working in power generation, heat recovery or process industries.
- Bachelor's degree in management or engineering related field preferred but not required.
- PMP certification preferred but not required.
