Job Overview

Pegasus Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join our team and oversee the execution of commercial and industrial projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day project operations, ensuring efficient execution, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a motivated leader with 5+ years of experience in commercial and industrial construction management.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Manage project execution, cost controls, engineering, and business management.
  • Scheduling & Coordination:
    • Create and manage project schedules using Smartsheets.
    • Coordinate tasks and timelines with subcontractors, engineers, and field teams.
  • Document Control:
    • Prepare and manage RFIs, change orders, and daily/weekly reports.
    • Oversee project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Provide cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting throughout project lifecycles.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
    • Act as a liaison between engineers, field teams, and clients.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex project issues to maintain smooth operations.
  • Client Relations: Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all job sites adhere to OSHA safety standards and company policies.
  • Support Field Operations: Provide strategic direction, materials management, and on-site support as needed.
Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in commercial/industrial construction.
    • 5+ years as a Project Manager or similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams), Smartsheets, and email communication.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
    • Experience with plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift or move 20-70 pounds regularly.
    • Frequent climbing, kneeling, bending, and crouching.
    • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Must pass a drug test and background check.
    • Reliable vehicle (company truck available).
