Project Manager

Alphanumeric is hiring a PROJECT MANAGER to work in the Richmond or Lynchburg, VA area with an established stronghold in the financial and insurance industries.

As a contract resource on the Supply Management team, you'll play a crucial role in performing project manager responsibilities in support of our HR initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage key HR projects using widely accepted project methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile/LEAN, SDLC)
• Apply project management tools and methods to manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, communication, resources and suppliers
• Work closely with HR leadership, Supply Chain Management, and other internal and external parties to integrate plans and coordinate execution for large cross-functional projects requiring multiple work-streams and sub-plans
• Conduct cost-benefit Analysis for projects, validate cost and benefit assumptions with stakeholders, resource managers, and process owners
• Conduct written and oral project updates for senior management and business leaders
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree or Military experience
• Minimum of 5 years project management experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic relationships and lead customer-focused projects across organizational boundaries
• Excellent planning, organizational, and execution skills
• Strong communication -- oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated experience interacting & collaborating with business areas in gathering, documenting, and developing business scope for projects
• Results-oriented, ability to meet and exceed objectives and handle multiple deadlines and priorities
• Strong analytical and business problem-solving skills
  
  

Nice To Have

• Prior experience with large IT-related projects and business transformations
• PMI (Project Management Institute) CAPM or PMP certification
• Experience using MS Project and Visio (or related platforms) at intermediate to advanced level
• Prior experience with Benefit transformation projects
