Are you ready to make a significant impact in our plant environment? Located in Wyoming, MI, our plant is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic to play a vital role in identifying and preventing issues, ensuring the safety of our employees and products. This on-site role offers a starting hourly pay rate of $40.26, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus. You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on safety and continuous improvement, working night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM with a 3-day weekend every other weekend.

This position is exciting because it provides opportunities to enhance your expertise in programmable logic controllers, engage in innovative problem-solving, and contribute to a safer, more efficient workplace. You'll also have the chance to work closely with leadership and participate in stretch projects that drive plant efficiency and cost savings.

A Taste Of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintaining Equipment and Enhancing PLC Knowledge: Alternate between troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-the-spot machine repair.
  • Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions: Identify and examine production equipment failures to understand root causes, interpreting schematics and drawings.
  • Prioritizing Innovation and Communication: Actively seek ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings, maintaining open communication with your lead and supervisor.

We’re Looking for Someone With

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Journeyman’s or 4 years of equivalent experience
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting (50 lbs.), and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day
  • Previous experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
