Invenio Financial is seeking a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Portfolio Strategy & Analytics to lead and drive the development and execution of an innovative investment strategy. This senior executive will leverage advanced data analytics to identify and evaluate debt-purchase opportunities while optimizing returns for the company. The SVP will play a critical role in partnering with senior leadership to make informed, data-driven investment decisions that enhance the company’s portfolio performance. The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and in-depth knowledge of debt purchase and debt collection processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Portfolio Management:
- Develop and execute comprehensive investment strategies to grow and optimize Invenio Financial’s portfolio.
- Utilize advanced analytics to identify, evaluate, and prioritize debt-purchase opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals and risk tolerance.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align portfolio management strategies with corporate objectives and market conditions.
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance and recommend adjustments to improve returns and reduce risk.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage big data, predictive analytics, and financial modeling to assess the performance and potential of debt portfolios.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform key investment decisions.
- Develop and implement performance metrics and dashboards to provide ongoing insights into portfolio health and optimize decision-making.
- Debt Purchase & Collection Optimization:
- Oversee the debt-purchase strategy, ensuring the company acquires debt portfolios that provide optimal returns and align with market conditions.
- Deeply understand the debt collection process and collaborate with operational teams to maximize recoveries and minimize costs.
- Partner with external vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure effective management of purchased portfolios and collection processes.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Lead a high-performing team of portfolio managers, analysts, and other professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Engage with senior leadership, including the CEO, CFO, and other executives, to develop actionable strategies based on data insights and portfolio performance.
- Present portfolio performance and investment recommendations to the Board of Directors and other key stakeholders.
- Investment Risk Management:
- Identify and assess portfolio risks related to economic conditions, regulatory changes, and the performance of purchased debt.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard returns and maintain a balanced portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all debt-purchase transactions.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Stay ahead of industry trends and developments in debt purchase, collections, and portfolio management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the portfolio team, encouraging innovation, process optimization, and the use of emerging technologies.
- Drive initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities, improve efficiencies, and deliver superior results for Invenio Financial.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in investment strategy, portfolio management, debt purchase, or a related field, with at least 7 years in an executive or senior leadership position.
- Strong experience with debt purchase, collections, and risk management in the financial services industry.
- Proven success in developing and executing data-driven investment strategies that optimize returns.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in data analytics, financial modeling, and portfolio management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of debt purchase, debt collection processes, and regulatory requirements within the financial services industry.
- Strong ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights for senior executives and stakeholders.
- Leadership capabilities with a proven ability to inspire, develop, and manage a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and execute long-term portfolio strategies aligned with business goals.
- Analytical Excellence: Expertise in leveraging advanced analytics to drive investment decisions and optimize portfolio performance.
- Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of debt purchasing, collections, and financial regulations.
- Collaborative Leadership: Proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Risk Management: Ability to assess and mitigate portfolio risks effectively, ensuring sustainable growth and performance.
- Executive-level position requiring strategic thinking, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on business needs.
