PharmaCann, Inc. owns and operates best-in-class production facilities and retail dispensaries for cannabis-based products. We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. We are looking for energetic, results-driven individuals to join our rapidly growing team and industry.

The Budtender Specialist is responsible for maintaining all criteria and expectations as a Budtender, while also being held accountable for being a designated trainer of new budtenders and the continuous development of the Budtender team on cannabis product and industry related areas. The Budtender Specialist must embody the values and tenets of Pharmacann. This individual must be passionate about their role and have a strong willingness to grow with Pharmacann and to help customers become educated about cannabis and be a positive voice and influence amongst their coworkers on daily dispensary operations.

Pay for this position starts at $1.50 more than your current wage

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Continuously demonstrate the necessary behaviors to drive exemplary customer experience and dispensary sales through the W.E.E.D. customer experience model.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of cannabis products and cannabis science and regarded as the designated ‘Go to’ budtender to train and assist coworkers.
  • Helps to ensure required course completion by Budtender staff on Pharmacann’s learning management system is completed in a timely manner and encourages continuous education of their team members.
  • Maintain and uphold all essential functions and responsibilities as a Budtender and;
  • Be a designated trainer to onboard new Budtenders using available dispensary and company resources.
  • Be an expert in POS and overall dispensary technology.
  • Drive Pharmacann Core Values daily.
  • Be a leader in capturing Google reviews and loyalty for the dispensary.
  • Conduct first party pop-ups and educational sessions in store at the Bud Bar (or equivalent).
  • Maintain operational standards, cleanliness of the dispensary and adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Constantly drives a positive workplace culture within their Pharmacann dispensary to help make it a great place to work and a great place to shop.
  • Frequently meet with the General Manager for check ins to discuss personal performance and contributions within their job function.

Competencies And Qualifications

  • Minimum 21 years of age (or as required by state regulations).
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or and equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Minimum 3 months of tenure with Pharmacann.
  • Must have 3 or more attendance points.
  • No active disciplinary documentation for performance.
  • An open work availability.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data, facts and figures.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to record information accurately.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve in a calm, professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong computer-based skills.
  • Intermediate-level math skills.
  • Proven expertise and experience to accurately manage a POS system.
  • Excellent time management and sense of urgency.
  • Business-minded personality.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to greet and manage patient/customer or employee interactions.
  • Communicates well with employees, customers and patients.
  • A positive attitude, highly motivated and ethical individual.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to escalate employee, patient or customer issues properly or to the proper personnel/management.
  • Bilingual is a plus for specific locations.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

This position operates in a professional store environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. This position requires long work hours, weekends, nights, overtime as needed, holidays and open work availability. In addition, this position may require minimal travel. This position may be required to work outdoors and/or during inclement weather.

While performing the duties of this job, this position is regularly required to visually observe, speak and listen. In addition, this position is frequently required to stand for long periods of time, walk constantly, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
