Position Summary

The Scheduling and Eligibility Specialist assumes responsibility for knowing the details of scheduling surgeries and studies assumes the responsibility for verifying patient eligibility, coordinating benefits, and determining patient coverage and responsibility for services.


Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Coursework in medical terminology preferred.
    • Minimum Experience: Two (2) or more years working in a hospital Admissions/Registration Department and patient care healthcare setting required. Must possess knowledge of Commercial and Medicaid insurances. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
