The Agency for Health Care Administration is Florida's chief health policy and planning entity, responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program and regulating around 50,000 health care facilities.

The Long-Term Care Services Unit (LTCSU) is seeking a dependable Human Services Program Specialist who can thrive in a detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process licensure applications for providers regulated by the LTCSU.
  • Interpret statutes and administrative rules.
  • Operate database and document management systems.
  • Respond to inquiries verbally and in writing.

Additional Duties

  • Review and maintain licensure materials.
  • Coordinate with Field Offices for data accuracy.
  • Assist in meeting deadlines for facility and provider licensure.
  • Produce statistical reports and monitor quality assurance.

Work Schedule

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with potential adjustments upon request.

Compensation

The position offers a base salary of $1,433.23 biweekly, non-negotiable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of state statutes and regulations governing health care facilities
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in a call center or customer service center with data entry.

Preference for applicants with a bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience.

Background Screening

Successful completion of a State and National criminal history check is required for employment.
