Part-Time Security Officer

Description

The Security position is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure workplace for all AmeriQual team members.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote security.
• Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigates and documents security incidents and hazards.
• Maintains knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding food security and general safety throughout the facility.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous security experience required; prior law enforcement experience a plus.
• Ability to calmly and efficiently handle emergency/security situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional manner.
• Intermediate computer skills needed to operate security cameras and software.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time as well as walk frequently. Must also be able to occasionally climb stairs. Operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions.
