Network Engineer
Meter
Date: 1 week ago
City: Santa Rosa, CA
Contract type: Contractor
Meter's mission and long term ambition
Meter builds better internet infrastructure. We make it exceptionally easy for any business to have great computer networking, internet, and Wi-Fi. Businesses of all sizes and industries increasingly rely on internet infrastructure for daily operations, yet getting connected today is incredibly difficult. To solve this problem, Meter builds and manages a vertically integrated solution across hardware, software, and operations. We believe people who build hardware and software should be the ones responsible for it. Our ambition is to evolve internet infrastructure into a utility.
This role is critical to Meter's success
To turn internet infrastructure into a utility, we have to add intelligence to its performance, availability, and security layers. We have the team, compute, and roadmap to execute on this. We still need high quality training data.
To help our team collect this data, we are hiring a network engineer who wants AI experience to join us. We are looking for someone who can use their expertise in networking to push the edges of what is possible on a network. The right candidate will have experience debugging complex network issues and generating creative solutions; possess strong knowledge of networking IT support principles and best practices; be familiar with firewall configurations and wireless design; and, demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills.
This is a 40-hour-per-week contract position that will last four weeks; pay is $3,000/week. This contract position has the potential to convert into a full-time role with the opportunity to build a team.
