Overview:
West Penn Hospital’s Float Pool consists of highly trained expert RN’s covering various specialty and clinical areas, catering to diverse patient types and acuity levels, including T7-Oncology and E9-Medical Surgical Units with Telemetry.

General Overview:
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for which they are responsible, ensuring accountability for the quality of delivered care.
Qualifications:
- 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Act 34, 33, and 73 clearance certificates
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning skills.
- Provides safe and effective care according to regulatory requirements.
- Manages patient care delivery by team members.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams from admission through discharge.
- Assesses learning needs of patients and families, providing educational support.
