We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead and inspire a team of product managers responsible for our in-house-built applications designed specifically for home care management, payroll, and Medicaid billing. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise, creativity in solution design, and a client-centric mindset. Our products are critical to the success of home care providers, helping them manage care delivery, streamline payroll, and ensure accurate Medicaid billing compliance.

The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the product lifecycle—from roadmap development to hands-on delivery—while building strong relationships with clients and internal teams. This position will also involve frequent client site visits to ensure successful implementations and ongoing satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 6-7 product managers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance, and solution-driven culture.
  • Provide strategic direction while staying hands-on in solving complex product and client challenges.
  • Develop and execute career growth plans for team members, enhancing both individual and team capabilities.

2. Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the overall product strategy and roadmap for our suite of home care management, payroll, and Medicaid billing applications.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, client feedback, and technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and client success, to ensure seamless product delivery.

3. Hands-On Product Management

  • Gain a deep understanding of our custom-built applications, ensuring full comprehension of system capabilities, architecture, and integration points.
  • Collaborate with developers to design scalable solutions, resolve technical issues, and deliver high-quality features.
  • Troubleshoot complex product and client issues, ensuring timely and creative resolution.
  • Ensure all solutions meet compliance requirements for Medicaid billing, EVV, and HIPAA.

4. Client Engagement & Implementations

  • Act as a key product representative, regularly engaging with clients to gather feedback, understand pain points, and drive product adoption.
  • Lead and support client implementations and on-site engagements, ensuring seamless transitions and successful use of our applications.
  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with key clients to foster long-term partnerships and identify opportunities for product enhancements.
  • Translate client needs into detailed product requirements and development plans.

5. Ownership & Continuous Improvement

  • Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, ensuring successful outcomes from initial concept to post-implementation support.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve and innovate within the home care management, payroll, and Medicaid billing domains.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in healthcare regulations to keep our products competitive and compliant.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading product development in the home care, healthcare technology, or payroll systems space.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HR, payroll, and Medicaid billing applications, particularly in environments where products are developed in-house.
  • Hands-on experience working with APIs, system integrations, and enterprise-level software solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a creative approach to building solutions for complex client needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience interacting directly with clients, developers, and executive teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Experience with SaaS, healthcare compliance, and Medicaid billing regulations.
  • Familiarity with EVV requirements, HIPAA compliance, and state healthcare programs.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering client-focused solutions and managing large-scale product implementations.
