The Safety Manager is responsible for creating, implementing and leading the Fives Intralogistics safety effort for our Assembly Shop, Job Sites and overall employee population.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Safety Coordination:

    • Ensure the development, implementation and updating of required written safety and health programs and plans. These may include, as needed:
      • Hazard Communication Program Exposure Control Program (Blood borne Pathogens, TB)
      • Hazard Assessment and Personal Protective Equipment Program (PPE)
      • Respiratory Protection Program Chemical Hygiene Plan (including Lab Safety)
      • Hazard Communication Program Lockout/Tag out (LOTO)
      • Emergency Action Plan
      • Job Site Training Program
      New Employee Training Program

      Leading a culture of Safety

        Responsible for implementation and leadership of the Behavior Based Safety Program

          Responsible for administration and leading the Safety Committee to ensure leadership awareness and compliance.

            Conduct periodic safety and health walk-through inspections of all workplace facilities.

              Ensure that safety training and all other specifically required training is provided for all employees.

                Ensure that OSHA 300 log of occupational injuries and illnesses is maintained. Post the annual summary from February 1st through April 30th at each work location.

                  Conduct accident/injury investigations and illness exposure monitoring.

                    Review Integration RFP Documents for safety requirements and develop safety implementation plan with timing and cost.

                      Be Fives Safety Coordinator for external projects using the Field Safety Manual

                        Establish and monitor a program for reporting and investigating “near-miss” situations.

                          Conduct investigations into employee inquiries, suggestions and complaints.

                            Maintain required safety and health documents/files for all workplace facilities.

                              Ensure periodic inspections of all motorized vehicles.

                                Management of workers compensation claims.

                                  • Education and/or Experience

                                  Bachelor’s Degree preferred; five years’ experience preferred.

                                  Construction and/or Manufacturing industry experience preferred

                                  • Language Skills

                                  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

                                  • Mathematical Skills

                                  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

                                  • Reasoning Ability

                                  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

                                  • Travel

                                  Travel may be required up to 20%.

                                  • DUPONT STOP or other behavioral safety course
