Summary
This colleague plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making at HEAPY through the development and implementation of data visualization tools. This position involves analyzing existing processes, developing reports and visualizations, and providing training and support to ensure smooth transitions and continuous improvement. This colleague will work closely with various departments to understand their needs, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights to support engineering and project management functions, in alignment with the company’s objectives and growth.
Qualifications
Top candidates normally possess an Associate Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or Construction related field. Candidates should have considerable experience in utilizing various computer software packages, strong experience in process analysis and improvement, proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, experience in software development and implementation, excellent communications, training and support skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. It is preferred that candidates have industry experience using SQL, Deltek Vantagepoint, Deltek Unionpoint, Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Power BI/Power Automate, Paychex Flex, API development, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Continually troubleshoots and brainstorms solutions to identified issues or opportunities.
- Maintains current knowledge of all company policies pertaining to personnel, operations, company quality objectives and the QMS, and applies standards to all areas of work.
- Instills a marketing awareness in all peers and maintains courteous, responsive and professional interaction with internal and external clients.
- Regular responsibilities typically include:
- Process Analysis and Improvement:
- Stays updated on industry trends in data collection, analysis and visualization to keep HEAPY processes at the forefront of efficiency.
- Collaborates with various departments to understand their processes and needs.
- Continuously analyzes and evaluates existing HEAPY business processes to identify automation opportunities in data collection, analysis and visualization.
- Data Analysis and Visualization:
- Gathers, analyzes, and interprets data to inform automation strategies.
- Develops and implements data visualization tools to help stakeholders understand process efficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Validate and reconcile data across data system(s) integrations.
- Software Development, Implementation and Maximization:
- Designs, develops and implements software solutions to automate business processes including data coordination/transfer between diverse software packages.
- Ensures that software solutions are aligned with business objectives and are scalable.
- Continuously monitors effectiveness of automation solutions; proposes and implements improvements where applicable.
- Maintains knowledge of latest software development technologies, trends including best practices for use of data used in Revit, Paychex Flex, Deltek Vantagepoint and other production applications.
- Documents processes and controls, new system requirements, and applicable testing scenarios for enhancements/system updates.
- Training and Support:
- Provides training to colleagues on new data analysis tools and processes.
- Offers ongoing support to ensure smooth adoption and operation of data solutions.
- Addresses issues or concerns related to the implemented data systems.
- Maintains high level of competency of software through continued use and training.
- Attends conferences, seminars and workshops for data analysis software and connections.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to remain sedentary at desk for long periods of time while operating a keyboard, mouse, stylus and using a computer screen.
- Ability to communicate in person or video, via written/email communications and via phone with other individuals.
- Possession of reliable transportation to and from facilities.
- Capable of working in physical positions that may include maneuvering self into different positions traditionally achieved by kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting, bending over, etc.
- Ability to move, transport, or position items weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to apply established protocols and practices in a timely manner and follow safety guidelines for both company and clients.
- Ability to gather, organize and evaluate information related to projects and calculations (such as security vulnerabilities, data needs and capacity, etc.).
