We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead the design, development, and implementation of global factory engineering solutions to support the massive growth of the cell organization. This leader would develop and implement global standards for factory layouts, facility design, material flow, and logistics, ensuring that all new and existing facilities are designed and built to meet current and future production requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial engineering, material flow, and logistics, with a focus on optimizing production efficiency and reducing waste.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and implementation of global factory engineering designs to support the growth of the cell organization
- Develop and implement global standards for: factory layouts and facility design, material flow and logistics, including the design and optimization of material handling systems, warehouse management, and inventory control, industrial engineering, including the design and implementation of production lines, workstations, and equipment, and infrastructure requirements, including utilities, HVAC, electrical, and other support systems
- Ensure that all new and existing facilities are designed and built to meet current and future production requirements
- Optimize material flow and logistics to reduce waste and improve efficiency, using techniques such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and total productive maintenance
- Develop and implement industrial engineering solutions to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that factory engineering solutions align with business objectives and production plans
- Develop and maintain global standards for factory layouts, material flow, and logistics, and industrial engineering
- Build proposal and feasibility studies for new and existing facilities
- Develop and implement facility design and layout plans for new and existing facilities, while identifying and mitigating potential risks and bottlenecks
- Develop and manage budgets and schedules for factory engineering projects
What You'll Bring
- Degree Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in factory engineering, with a focus on global operations, material flow, and industrial engineering
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to convince stakeholders of the value of factory engineering solutions
- Experience working with lithium-ion cells or high-reliability products is preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across levels and functions
- Passion for systemic problem-solving using systems and data-driven approaches
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and perform under high pressure
- Experience with material flow and logistics, including material handling systems, warehouse management, and inventory control
- Experience with industrial engineering principles, including production line design, workstation design, and equipment selection

Expected Compensation:
$148,000 - $222,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
