Position Summary
The People Operations Generalist supports and enhances the organization's human resources functions, focusing on talent management, compliance, employee engagement, and operational efficiency. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to ensure the People Operations function aligns with the organization's mission and values.

This is a part-time, hybrid position of approximately 10-15 hours per week. The final candidate must be able to visit the office in Stewartville, MN once a week or as often as needed.

Position Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to execute human resource strategies related to talent acquisition, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Support employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management processes.
  • Manage recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Attend local career fairs as needed to support recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Facilitate learning and development programs to enhance employee growth.
  • Oversee HRIS platforms and ensure accurate employee records.
  • Support cultural initiatives, including employee recognition programs and engagement activities.
  • Maintain and optimize tools such as Google Suite, Slack, Asana, and 15Five.
  • Assist in policy development and implementation.
  • Research HR trends and best practices to propose innovative solutions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR or People Operations.
  • Experience with HR tools and systems (e.g., G Suite, 15Five, Slack, Asana).

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position. The final candidate must be able to visit the office in Stewartville, MN once a week or as often as needed.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position of approximately 10-15 hours per week during general business hours.

Travel

Occasional travel may be required.
