Originally Towson Hot Bagels, discovering that bagel sandwich was the catalyst which set their futures in motion. Position Purpose:
Work for your favorite breakfast brand!

THB is searching for team members who are highly energetic, guest-focused, dependable, adaptable, and collaborative to join our THB team as Guest Ambassadors/Hosts. The Guest Ambassador position is critical to THB's success. As the primary point of contact for each guest who walks in the door, the Guest Ambassador is responsible for all aspects of the guest experience, from greeting guests as they walk in, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash responsibly, running food effectively, and, throughout every interaction, showing each guest the highest level of hospitality. Guest Ambassadors will also be trained as Expeditors or Expos, who assist in efficiently and accurately organizing and packaging hot and cold orders for guests, as well as Baristas, who make specialty drinks for guests as ordered. Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

• Greet guests with a friendly greeting as the enter the restaurant
• Guide guests through the order process and assist the ordering process according to their method of order (cashier, kiosk, delivery and pick up, etc.)
• When placing orders at the cashier, process all guest payments accurately and efficiently, ringing in and accounting for all purchased goods and services and providing receipts, refunds and proper change, as necessary
• Communicate promotions and features to guests and make suggestions for upsell
• Accurately process all coupons, discounts, or sales promotions
• Resolve all guest complaints and/or defer to manager for additional support
• Maintain a clean working area
• Function as Expeditor to accurately organize and package hot and cold orders for guests, as needed
• When expediting, package all items according to company standards and procedures
• Function as Barista to make specialty drinks for guests following THB standards and procedures, as needed
• Check in on guests, clear tables, clean the restaurant, serve with a smile
• Provide guests w/ a memorable experience/express gratitude to guests for choosing THB
• Perform other duties, as required

Working Conditions:

This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment with access to kitchen equipment in tight quarters. Slip resistant shoes are the standard for the team.

Physical Activity:

Must have the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Bending and lifting (up to 50 lbs) are also required.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Basic business math and accounting skills
• Basic personal computer skills
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) skills are a plus
• Proven work ethic, punctual
• Dedication to providing exceptional customer service
• Good communication skills
