Job Overview

The Retail Training data analyst Intern will help build a comprehensive internal dashboard that effectively highlights the impact and benefits of our training programs.

To ensure this dashboard truly represents the value of our training efforts, the intern will need to develop a solid understanding of the current reports and various sources of data that are available to us.

Responsibilities

Understanding Existing Reports: The intern will review and familiarize themselves with the reports currently being generated by the training department. This includes metrics such as training completion rates, participant feedback, assessment scores, and any performance-related outcomes tied to training. By doing this, they will gain insight into how training performance is currently tracked and evaluated.

Identifying Data Sources: The intern will be introduced to the different data sources we rely on for training-related information. These might include our GTLS, feedback surveys, assessments, and any business performance metrics linked to the training outcomes (e.g., post-training sales or employee engagement scores, sales figures). Understanding how to extract and integrate data from these sources will be key to building an effective dashboard.

Building the Dashboard: Based on their understanding of the data, the intern will then work on creating a user-friendly dashboard that visualizes the key benefits of our training programs. This dashboard should aim to communicate the impact of training on business outcomes—whether it’s increased productivity, improved skills, or greater employee satisfaction. Ideally, the dashboard will highlight the connection between training efforts and key organizational goals.
