Secretary - Cardiac Pre CTICU

Job Overview:
In busy outpatient department, schedule clinic appointments for multiple providers. Maintain providers calendars. Answer emails and calls, divert calls to appropriate staff, receive and relay messages accurately. Update electronic records with pertinent documents. Participate in overall telephone coverage on behalf of the Cardiology department. Provide general support to patients and providers. Act as point of contact for internal and external clients.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma
- 3 to 5 years office experience required, good organizational and communication skills required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Computer skills required
Preferred:
- One year (1) secretary and/or scheduling experience
Scheduling Requirements:
- Shift- 8:00am-4:00pm
- Monday- Friday
- Full Time
Essential Functions:
- Schedules patients for tests and procedures
- Coordinates with patient and providers for appropriate dates
- Verifies insurance information is provided
- All other duties as assigned
