Class A Reefer Driver

Class A drivers run reefer freight from several spots in Missouri to WI, IL, IA and OH on back-and-forth lanes. This is all no touch and there is a $2K sign-on bonus with weekends at home. Freight will go from MO to one of the four states above and return with freight. Drivers get home on Friday mid-day and are home for 48 hours. The company offers great insurance, and opting out increases pay by .05CPM. Please note, much of the driving is at night, so willingness to run at night is required.
Job Description, Pay & Benefits
Drivers will run back and forth between MO and WI, IL, IA, and OH with no touch reefer and occasionally some dry van freight. Starting pay is .54CPM or .59CPM if opting out of company insurance. This rate applies for the first 2000 miles, with $1.00 per mile for every mile over. A driver running 2500 miles in a week can expect to earn roughly $1600/WK. Benefits start after 90 days and include medical, PTO, and 401K.
- Sign-on bonus of $2000: $750 Week 1, $750 Week 2, $500 at 6 months.
All trucks are Anthems or Mack Pinnacles, mostly 12 speed automatics, with some equipped with APUs and Webasco heaters. Trucks can be taken home but cannot be parked at truck stops.
- All freight is no touch, 65% drop and hook, for dedicated accounts.
- May have a rider after 90 days, must be an immediate family member aged 10 or older.
CDL Class A Reefer Driver Requirements
- Must be 23 with at least 6 months of Class A OTR or Regional Dry Van or Reefer experience in the last year.
- Only hiring in MO, IL, IA, and OH, must live north of I-70 in those states.
- No more than 2 moving violations (none major) in the last three years.
- No more than 2 DOT Recordable Preventable accidents in the last three years (with conditions).
- May have 2 incidents in the last three years but cannot exceed allowable accidents or incidents.
- If speed ticket over 20 mph in last three years, no other moving violations during that time.
- No more than 3 jobs in the last year, no more than 6 in the last three years.
- No felonies in the last seven years, no misdemeanors in the last three years, must be off probation or parole for specified periods.
