Director of Finance

Position Purpose: The Director of Finance will lead The Accounting department of the Hotel. A solid background in internal controls, external audits, GAAP accounting, financial reporting and establishment of Standard Operating Procedures is critical for success in this position.

This position will be responsible for revenues, internal controls, communications with the EC and Corporate Team members, managing audits, managing the AP team, leading the Cash Management process, as well as working with the other team members in managing the accounting process along with a close working relationship with the GM.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to manage multiple assets, projects, and assignments at one time.
• Accept responsibility for P&L results of a hotel portfolio and work with operating peers to continually look for improvement opportunities.
• Act as a liaison between ownership, operations, and other stakeholders for all financial matters including monthly operating results, debt covenant reporting, internal and external audits, and all cash matters.
• Manage the internal and external audits for the various hotel ownership groups,
• Ensure compliancy to Remington Hospitality policy and procedures
• Manage Cash Management functions; including cash calls, cash flow projects, and operating level cash management.
• Review and work with the Operations team to understand forecasting and budgeting assumptions, to ensure accuracy of cash flow and operating results.
• Assist with on-boarding new team members of both the accounting team and key positions in the hotels that impact the financial operation.
• Assist in maintaining relationships with the various ownership groups.
• Responsible for recruiting, growth, and development of associates.
• Provide visionary, strategic, and functional leadership on behalf of finance and accounting across the department and hotel.
• Train other departments to use the accounting tools available to them.
• Assisting with overall morale/climate of the team and maintain ethics and integrity at all times.
• Perform various other duties as assigned in order to meet company objectives.
