Excelraise, LLC is seeking an Business Analyst for our client in Columbia, SC.
***This is 25% Remote work and 75% Onsite Work***
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
Due to the volume of agency financial and administrative systems that need to be migrated to agency standard platforms, upgrade and streamline aged components, and modernization efforts, additional staff is needed to support these efforts and system implementation. The team will work to align business needs with current and future state to ensure systems are set up and supported following industry best practices to ensure strategic initiatives and compliance with federal and state regulatory laws and ensure business continuity.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Emphasis for the System Business Analyst (BA) candidate will be part of a team focusing on agency efforts to understand current and future state associated with agency financial and administrative systems. The BA will need to learn system capabilities, analyze data and reports, work with system owners and SMEs to define business and technical requirements, and work breakdown. This role supports the project team by performing administrative tasks such as taking meeting minutes, developing and reviewing draft project documents, task tracking, and communicating with stakeholders.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to analyze and document business and system processes using various methods and tools.
- Knowledge of Information Technology Field, best practices, organization, and operations.
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting Enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of IT development and implementation projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), MS SharePoint, MS Office 365.
- Ability to deal effectively with the needs of technical peers and management, users, vendors, and staff members.
- Project Methodology.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- MS Project, MS DevOps.
- Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS.
- Experience with industry standard information security practices.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
