Project Controller

Redpath USA Corporation is a premier full-service underground mining contractor seeking a Project Controller for our team in Sparks, NV.

Job Summary:

The Project Controller is responsible for the planning and performance monitoring of assigned projects. This includes providing guidance to operational managers through the implementation of project controls processes, procedures, and contracts. The role involves tracking performance and incorporating analysis to define the physical and economic performance of projects, recommending actions for optimal performance.

It is essential to ensure that the business objectives of Redpath USA Corporation are achieved by developing and maintaining project baselines and execution plans, including administrative setup.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Compile and define the controls baselines for projects, including the development of project execution plans and controls procedures.

• Administrative setup of new projects, including timekeeping, reporting, chart of accounts, and document management.

• Ensure that the Management of Change process is maintained and integrated with policies, procedures, contracts, and financial systems.

• Participate in compiling, updating, and tracking project costs and schedules using relevant software.

• Implement controls to monitor project budget performance and forecast costs, cash, and resource requirements.

• Maintain earned value management on assigned projects.

• Report on project key performance indicators regularly.

• Monitor trends to identify issues impacting policies, procedures, schedule, costs, project scope, or safety.

• Prepare and finalize close-out reports.

• Maintain safety standards and perform field-level risk assessments.

• Comply with safety directives, maintain confidentiality, and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Work beyond standard hours as required, including overtime and shift rotations.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with a focus on business or engineering is required. Additional qualifications in project management are a plus.

Work Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in project accounting or controls related to underground construction or operational mining.
