GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position plans, schedules, coordinates and monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides planning and scheduling of production lines to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. The ideal candidate must have a bias for detail and exceeding expectations. This position is located in our Grand Prairie Contracting facility and reports to the Operations Manager.

Pay: $55,000-$75,000/year

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans, prepares, issues and maintains production schedules and tracks material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
  • Schedules all production line, confirms material supply and demands, and prepares work orders or purchase requests based on a master production schedule.
  • Reviews and track internal status of inventory. Requirement is 99% inventory accuracy. Participate in production meetings and communicate schedule changes in a timely manner.
  • Takes action with internal teams to promptly resolve any scheduling issues and maintaining 100% inventory accuracy.
  • Works closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving. Goal is to maintain 100% inventory accuracy, 100% production rate and 100% ship/fill rate.


QUALIFICATIONS:

General:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Works well with little supervision
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Maintains a high level of business courtesy and etiquette when interacting with Customers, Vendors, and Sales representatives
  • Demonstrated time management and multitasking skills
  • Willingness to work additional hours as necessary
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required, with 2+ years directly related work experience in production control, material/production planning, or work center scheduling specifically in manufacturing or production floor environment
  • 2+ years hand on experience utilizing a WMS or ERP system
  • Analytical skills required for determining priorities, lead times, and production floor schedules
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some college desirable


Computer Skills:

  • Strong computer skills including operating Windows based personal computers and using Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel (intermediate level or higher


Math/Language/Reasoning Abilities:

  • Ability to clearly express oneself verbally and in writing in the English language using good grammar and vocabulary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include strong presentation, project and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus but not required.
  • Bias for results, goal oriented, and proven experience working with a team to achieve excellence.
  • Ability to solve problems independently
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately
