Senior Purchaser

Jowat Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Purchaser to join our team in High Point, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services that align with our company’s goals. You will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely delivery of materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Day-in-the-life And Your Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services.
• Obtain and analyze quotations from suppliers, negotiate terms and pricing, and make recommendations to senior purchasing agents.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and lead times to ensure efficient procurement processes.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory management teams to forecast future demand to ensure adequate supply.
• Assist in resolving supplier-related issues such as late deliveries, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in procurement to enhance purchasing strategies.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding purchasing and vendor management.
• Provide administrative support to the purchasing department as needed, including generating purchase orders, processing invoices, and updating supplier information in the database.
  
  

Our Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ year’s experience as a purchasing agent or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices is desirable.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
