Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, monitor and repair all facility systems (e.g. fire, security, gas, electrical, etc.) as needed.

Regularly verify that files on all machinery and equipment are current.

Keep all machinery and equipment maintained at a level that exceeds the current standards required by Federal and State regulation.

Maintain a cost effective inventory of “most commonly used” maintenance items for buildings and machinery.

  • Prioritize assignments to maintain all buildings, machinery, and equipment.

Implement and maintain the preventive, predictive, and general maintenance programs and associated records.

Follow all Federal MIOSHA and Company safety requirements.

Follow continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles in all areas of responsibility.

Implement and maintain TS16949 and ISO 14001 policies, procedures, and work instructions within the maintenance area, as required.

  • Ensure that cleanliness and housekeeping standards are maintained in the maintenance area and in all areas where maintenance work is performed.
  • Maintain files for all manuals and warranties for machinery and equipment.

Assist Purchasing Dept. with sourcing and pricing items needed for repair and/or build projects. Provide cost effective and efficient solutions and suggestions.

Maintain inventory of all perishable and non-perishable maintenance related company equipment and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with computers (i.e. Excel, Word).
  • Experience with Hydraulics.
  • Experience with Electrical.
  • Proven Troubleshooting techniques.

Working Conditions:

Assist or supervise the repair of machinery and equipment by outside contractors as required.

Coordinate disposal of all facility by-products (e.g. waste oil, scrap metal, refuse, etc.) in conformance with government regulations.

Assist in planning and installation of new equipment and machinery.

Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

Operate Forklift and overhead crane as needed (License required).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Trade/Technical School Diploma (4 year degree preferred).
  • 5 years experience within manufacturing facility maintenance.
  • Proficient with Computers.
