Responsibilities
The research assistant will be assigned to work on funded projects in the Center for Criminology and Public Policy under the direction of faculty and principal investigators.
Job duties include:
- Participating in research project meetings. Project meetings with research staff, partnering agency staff, and other stakeholders occur regularly. This position would be expected to attend meetings, make observations, take notes, and create agendas.
- Completing project-related research activities. Conducting literature reviews, taking and coding notes from interviews/focus groups, data collection, and cleaning and managing data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
