The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor, plays a crucial role in the development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles. Based in Southern California near the Los Angeles International Airport, The Marvin Group consists of Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS) and Marvin Land Systems (MLS). Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. For over 60 years we have maintained “A Tradition of Excellence”, serving as a trusted source for our unwavering commitment to supporting all branches of the Department of Defense and our global allies. Our collaboration extends across a diverse array of programs and platforms, including major military prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of contracts that are assigned including budget responsibility.
  • Provide managerial leadership to direct reports as required to meet companywide goals and objectives.
  • Review of Contracts, Purchase Orders and amendments to awarded contracts.
  • Liaison between all departments including engineering and operations.
  • Communicate well with both internal suppliers and external customers.
  • Generate progress reports and estimates to complete.
  • Ability to follow and execute actions in accordance with MEC's policies and procedures.
  • Ability to create and give program presentations to internal stakeholders and external customers.

Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or (5+) years of directly related experience in an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information.
  • Demonstrated skill in establishing and integrating strategies, goals and objectives and directing resources, including the ability to plan and coordinate the activities of assigned organizations and programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • SAP experience highly desired; Competency in MS Office products to include Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Professional certifications in areas such as Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Program Management, Purchasing Management, Production and Inventory Control, etc. are not mandatory but highly desired.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
