Job Description

The Benefits Administrator will manage and oversee the accurate billing and administration of employee benefits programs for HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts. This role is integral to ensure the smooth operation of our benefits processes, accurate and timely billing and payment, maintaining compliance, and providing exceptional support to our employees.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices from various providers to ensure accuracy. Process and track payments for benefits-related expenses.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing or employee coverage.
  • Maintain detailed records of benefits transactions for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, resolving issues promptly.
  • Work closely with property HR leaders on communication, support, processing, etc. of all benefit programs.
  • Assist employees with enrollment, changes, and terminations in benefits programs.
  • Provide clear communication and education about benefit offerings.
  • Coordinate with broker on annual open enrollment processes, including communication, system updates, and support.
  • Ensure benefits administration complies with federal and state regulations, such as HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA.
  • Process qualifying life events and ensure timely updates in benefits systems.
  • Work closely with HR, payroll, and external vendors to ensure seamless benefits administration.
  • Provide data and reports for internal and external audits related to benefits.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to maintain best practices in benefits administration.
  • Assists with other areas of HR billing including HR and other IT system infrastructure billing and accounts payable.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in benefits administration, benefits billing, or a related role
  • Strong knowledge of benefits programs and regulatory requirements

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Compensation: Commensurate with Experience

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am-5:30pm
