Human Resources Generalist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist administers daily operations of the Human Resources Department and provides support to the Chief Human Resources Officer. Under general supervision, the HR Generalist directs the administration of various human resource functions including employee staffing, benefits, compensation, performance management, and other programs for ANHC. The HR Generalist is the technical point of contact for the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a resource for leadership and staff including, but not limited to, best policies, practice, procedures and employment law
- Responsible for the administration of ANHC's credentialing and privileging program including but not limited to ongoing maintenance of staff profiles, licensing, annual credentials review as well as clinical support staff annual competency review as well as Medicare/Medicaid enrollment and maintenance of select preferred provider networks
- Oversees the recruitment and onboarding process in conjunction with the HR Assistant by managing requisitions, tracking job postings, reviewing applications, conducting reference and background checks, notifying candidates of application status and managing the new-hire onboarding process
- Provides support for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), including researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws
- Develops, implements, and documents HR workflow process for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
- Develop HRIS user procedures, guidelines and documentation, train end users on new processes/functionality and train new system users
- Write, maintain and support a variety of reports using HRIS reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing end user needs. Help maintain data integrity in system by running report and auditing data
- Assists with administration of compensation and performance management programs
- Performs benefits administration to include FMLA administration, change reporting, auditing and reconciling invoices, and communicating benefit information to employees
- Coordinates COBRA information upon hire and termination
- Assists with filing Workers Compensation reports in time required
- Works closely and cooperatively with payroll to ensure accurate HR data
- Assists CHRO with special projects, organizational training, development efforts and required reporting
- Develops and/or revises position descriptions for Center positions by researching appropriate data sources
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
- Participates in designing and implementing new human resource processes
- Ensures compliance with ANHC's policies and procedures and all applicable HR-related laws and regulations
- Maintains employee and medical files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Directs the daily work of the HR Assistant
- Other HR duties as assigned
SUPPORTING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attends career fairs.
- Participates in meetings and may serve on ad hoc committees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Work Experience: At least 3-5 years of diverse Human Resource experience required.
Education, Certification and Licensure: Associates degree in Business, Human Resources, Accounting or related field. Experience may be substituted for education on a year to year basis. PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
Additional Skills & Knowledge: Bilingual preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain sedentary for prolonged periods of time at a workstation but may involve walking and standing for brief periods of time. Occasionally will exert up to 20 lbs. of force to move objects and files.
Work is performed in a healthcare clinic and office setting. ANHC is a tobacco-free campus.
