Logistics Director

The Opportunity:

In This Role You Will:

• Drive strategic partnerships with freight brokers through regular performance reviews and contract negotiations: monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
• Optimize freight spend through dynamic market analysis and strategic decisions between contract and spot market opportunities.
• Maintain competitive advantage through regular market rate analysis and vendor evaluations.
• Oversee end-to-end shipping operations including finished goods distribution from HQ to distributors, Warehouse transfers of finished goods, Co-manufacturer shipment coordination, and Raw materials logistics for HQ, co-manufacturers, and 3PL networks.
• Partner with the Demand Planner to optimize distributor and 3PL inventory levels and execute effective Sales and Operations Planning.
• Collaborate with the Finance Team on freight invoice management and bill backs.
• Manage product creation workflows and VIP system setups.
• Oversee distribution invoice and credit memo processing.
• Ensure seamless EKOS integration for all shipments.
• Work cross-functionally with the president and VP of Operations on shipment optimization, the VP of Operations on production facility strategy, and the President on warehouse network planning.
• Deliver critical reporting including monthly TTB and Avalara wholesale reports, monthly freight tracking analysis, and custom analytics for executive leadership as needed.

Must Have's:

• Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
• 4-5 years experience in freight and logistics, beverage experience preferable, DTC operations management preferable.
• Must live in Southern California, San Diego preferred.
• Proven experience with demand planning, inventory management, and working with 3PL providers.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and experience using inventory management software.
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully implementing process improvements.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and lead cross-functional teams.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, fast-growth company.

Compensation:

• Full-Time, Salaried Exempt.
• The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $130,000.00.
