Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Purpose: This position is responsible for assisting with payroll and benefit administration.
The Delivery Driver Associate will work in a team environment to meet overall Distribution Center production goals and objectives. The Delivery Driver assists with cleanliness throughout the Distribution Center and ensures a safe working environment
Essential Functions:
- Must be detail oriented and skilled in reviewing data for accuracy.
- Organizes open enrollment for benefits and disperses monthly packets to eligible employees.
- Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve employee insurance issues.
- Communicate with employees and management regarding benefits options and usage, and track usage data.
- Ability to Connect with Respect with all levels of employees with patience and empathy, focusing on the pillars of High Performance Culture.
- Maintain confidentiality in all records and reports.
- Must support GrandBrands Core Values on a daily basis
- Must be able to work a schedule that supports the needs of the business and your customer base.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists Compliance Manager with weekly duties such as manual check processing, inputting data into the compensation report, adding PTO to employee records and assisting with payroll reconciliation of 5 GL accounts.
- Responsible for inputting new hires into GERS and corporate systems.
- Responsible for enrolling and cancelling benefit packages for employees.
- Responsible for execution of garnishments for previous employees and communicating garnishments to TPA.
- May be asked to gather data and analysis on an ad-hoc basis.
Physical Demands / Environment: This is primarily an office role. Long periods of sitting, computer work and attention to detail required. There will be some local travel to the locations that you support and consistent periods while you are walking and speaking with employees.
Tools / Equipment: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Education and Training: College degree preferred with 5 years of experience in payroll or human resources.
