We are seeking a passionate, driven self-starter to join our team. The AFH Assistant Sales Manager will implement short and long-range objectives for the Sales Department, oversee related functions and activities, and administer company policies and procedures

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Recruitment Lifecycle:

  • Coach and mentor the company’s culture by training the team to live the Corporate Principles every day.
  • Assist with training new staff and coordinating the day-to-day workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to analyze costs, benefits, and losses of the department’s profits.
  • Monitor department performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage daily aspects of the department and its staff to ensure sales projects are completed and goals and customer needs are met.
  • Draft, submit, and present various performance and management reports.
  • Manage conflicts and resolve complaints within the department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the AFH Sales Manager.

Train and Develop Teams:

  • Assist with developing programs focused on leadership, development, and workplace performance.
  • Partner with management to collect, analyze, and leverage data to measure and maintain the effectiveness of continuous improvement efforts.
  • Document and maintain processes and procedures.

Plan Organizational Events:

  • Lead coordination of department events and support employee engagement activities.
  • Partner with management to ensure alignment with goals and seamless execution.

About You

The role requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Proficient in creating and presenting ideas and reports in various formats.

Desired Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Two years of sales experience preferred; team-building and leadership experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and related software.
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. Access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record are required.

Location

We are only considering candidates located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This position may require frequent travel offsite for events, meetings, and training.

Compensation and Benefits

This a full-time “at-will” position working at least 40 hours per week.

The salary range for this role is $66,000 – $95,000, which is based on market data and the organization’s compensation philosophy. Our offer will be within the range as required by certain state laws and individual salary offers will depend on and may vary with location, relevant education, knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer comprehensive employee benefits.
