The Developer will develop scalable data solutions that align with business needs, providing key insights to decision-makers or supporting business applications. You will work collaboratively with other developers and key stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration from source systems to data modeling and dashboard creation. This developer can work mostly independently and is comfortable in most of the technology stack and may have a focus on backend data modeling and warehousing or frontend data visualization and business intelligence platforms.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing and integrations pipelines using SQL & Python within Azure to ingest data from various source systems to our data warehouse
  • Model data to create datasets and dashboards which derive insights and enable decision makers throughout the organization
  • Maintain and optimize existing data architecture and solutions
  • Partner with other developers and key stakeholders to collaborate and build innovative solutions to solve business problems
  • Capable of modeling data to answer business questions
  • Develop business acumen and working knowledge of source systems to better understand how to translate raw data into impactful insights
  • Collaborate with fellow developers, business analysts, and key stakeholders within other departments
  • Adhere to industry development and architecture standards
  • Deploy code by utilizing CI/CD pipelines
  • Document code and build test cases
  • Conduct peer reviews of teammates’ code
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Skills Needed

  • Understanding/Familiarity with the following:
    • Python, SQL, JavaScript (and other common languages/frameworks for data engineering)
    • Azure or other cloud computing platforms
    • Domo or other business intelligence platform
    • Data warehousing concepts and principles
    • Data visualization and analytics storytelling
    • Jupyter Notebooks, Text Editors, and IDEs
    • Azure DevOps

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Fast-paced office environment
  • Travel between facilities may be required
  • Typical work hours consist of 45+ per week
  • Sitting and working at a computer for extended periods of time.
