Position Summary
Responsible for developing and maintaining positive and productive relationships between MedStream Anesthesia and its clinical facility clients. Ensures client retention and positive clinical, operational and financial results for MedStream clients. Assists in Business Development activities, as requested.
Essential Functions
This position has daily, ongoing contact with MedStream administrative staff, clinical providers, practice site leadership and other outside contacts. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal and written as well as verbal communication skills. Ability to manage a variety of administrative assignments, including confidential and general administrative and
clerical duties. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities and situations requiring judgment and poise. Detail-oriented and well-organized job ethic with a demonstrated ability to multi-task. Support teamwork environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Periodic local educational seminars, business meetings, and significant out-of-town travel is required. Job functions are conducted during customary business hours with pre-and post-regular hours of work required.
Interaction with providers, staff, and public may be constant and interruptive. The abilities to view a computer terminal, communicate electronically, answer a telephone, read, prepare and analyze data and figures constantly, as well as to communicate respectfully, verbally or written, are required.
EDUCATION
Education & Experience
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required. A minimum of three years’ experience working in a healthcare setting, preferred; at least five years of strong operational experience required.

Essential Functions
- Manages, cultivates and enhances client relationships – interface with site clinical leadership to stay abreast of staffing and management needs, actively engages with key hospital staff by attending regular, periodic key meetings, arranges routine client site visits, acts as liaison between MedStream and client facility actively resolving issues and demonstrates an understanding of current issues and client expectations.
- Contract literacy – has an overall understanding of the contracts and performance expectations. Maintains full understanding of contractual requirements.
- Financial metrics and performance accountability – review monthly financial statements, identify and address critical issues and work through options to address and recommend solutions for long term profitability and growth.
- Ensures customer satisfaction and retention – analyze critical information and metrics ensuring customer satisfaction, address barriers to success and articulate needs with recommendations to management, actively engaged in renegotiating contracts and the upgrading of services (account growth and retention).
- Internal cross functional relationship management and communication – promote consistent communication and collaboration internally to address key issues and develop proactive solutions (clinical, operations, finance, business development).
- Supports marketing – provide input and support branding enhancement and identity; promote market positioning.
- Reporting – provide reporting for client and internally.
- Annual planning and strategy development
- Preparation and Presentation of RFP’s
- Communication – deliver clear, consistent, and well-organized communication (written and verbal) to inspire confidence. Handle difficult situations with grace, while promoting candid discussions on difficult matters in an engaging and thoughtful manner.
