The Sr. Operations Planner is a management position responsible for leading multiple books-of-business, including running and developing direct reports. This key contributor is accountable for seamless execution of the demand fulfillment portion of the Supply Chain from receipt of customer requirements to delivery of product to the customer distribution center, which includes but not limited to capacity planning, inventory management, data integrity, component procurement, production scheduling, and new launch execution. The Sr. Planner is a strategic thinker and self-starter responsible for developing supplier programs to improve lead-time, responsiveness, and reliability of product information. The Sr. Planner leads multiple vendor relationships to ensure coordinated development, implementation, and measurement of programs to support supply chain strategies. Works cross functionally with internal and external partners including Customer Planning, Allocation, Merchants, Finance, Commercialization, Logistics, and Warehousing teams to support production and flow!

Responsibilities
Vendor Management
- Responsible for identifying opportunities for growth and optimization in the Supply Chain.
- Coordinate, identify and understand factory capacity, both on individual factory level as well as across the entire category, to ensure optimal allocation of orders. Provide recommendations to Global Vendor Management team to ensure customer commitments will be met in-full and are prepared for growth.
- Lead operations team through the coordination of product line extensions, new product launches or strategic supply chain changes to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
- Analyze vendor performance management, improvement and compliance
- Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand and/or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials and adequate capacity
- Lead all stages of product lifecycle strategies including; launch, replenishment, chase and exit.
- Innovate supply chain strategies that benefit BBW inventory goals.
- Review Book-of-business on regular basis and lead to inventory targets and inventory levels
- Analyze inventories to resolve how to increase inventory turns, reduce liabilities, and optimize speed
- Support Quarter End inventory meetings with summaries of liabilities, at risk inventory, trends and P&L drivers.
- Support and partner with the Merchandising teams throughout the product lifecycle, identifying risks and opportunities based on analysis of the current business development
- Lead the day-to-day activities of the Supply Chain Team by providing leadership and training for individual associates.
- Builds strong and productive relationships with cross-functional partners.
- Leads, inspires, and motivates project and functional teams.
- Provides leadership in all people related activities e.g. performance management, recruitment, succession planning and talent development activities of the organization.
- Drive compliance within the team to all relevant Standards and Procedures.
- A minimum of 5-7 years experience in Operations or Supply Planning, or related Supply Chain experience
- APICS certification or progress towards certification preferred
- Proficiency in PC based software tools (Microsoft Office Suite), SAP or equivalent ERP experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations Planning, Engineering or related fields preferred
