Description

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and eager-to-learn Network Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. In this entry-level position, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity for our healthcare systems and devices. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting and support for network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware failures, and software configurations.
  • Work with senior network staff to perform routine network maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups.
  • Support the implementation of network upgrades, installations, and configuration changes.
  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare IT team to ensure that network performance aligns with HIPAA compliance and security standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions using ticketing systems.
  • Participate in network-related projects and initiatives to improve performance and security.
  • Provide end-user support for network-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to healthcare operations.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) and network protocols.
  • Experience with or a willingness to learn network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • An interest in healthcare IT systems and a commitment to supporting healthcare technology in a secure and reliable manner.


Preferred (but not required):

  • Basic understanding of healthcare IT compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Experience or certification in networking (CompTIA Network+, Cisco, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud services and network virtualization.
