Requirements:

  • Current nurse specialty certification by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
  • Licensed to practice nursing in Michigan.
  • Two years’ experience in a clinic setting as an APP or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnosis, treatment, prescription, referral, consultation, and follow-up in a primary care setting.
  • Develop standards of care, protocols, and quality monitors to ensure safe, quality care.
  • Serve as a liaison with the medical community, maintaining linkages with external agencies and organizations.
  • Attend departmental meetings to discuss progress in clinical program and agency goals.
  • Communicate to enhance professional interdisciplinary relationships.
  • Participate in community programs to project a positive image of Cherry Health and support health education.
  • Participate in after-hour call system and hospital rounding as negotiated.
  • Adhere to CSHS’s compliance standards and ensure staff training in compliance policies.
  • Ensure appropriate referrals to encourage continuity of care.
  • Other duties as assigned.
