Requirements:
- Current nurse specialty certification by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Licensed to practice nursing in Michigan.
- Two years’ experience in a clinic setting as an APP or equivalent education and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnosis, treatment, prescription, referral, consultation, and follow-up in a primary care setting.
- Develop standards of care, protocols, and quality monitors to ensure safe, quality care.
- Serve as a liaison with the medical community, maintaining linkages with external agencies and organizations.
- Attend departmental meetings to discuss progress in clinical program and agency goals.
- Communicate to enhance professional interdisciplinary relationships.
- Participate in community programs to project a positive image of Cherry Health and support health education.
- Participate in after-hour call system and hospital rounding as negotiated.
- Adhere to CSHS’s compliance standards and ensure staff training in compliance policies.
- Ensure appropriate referrals to encourage continuity of care.
- Other duties as assigned.
