Purpose of Position
The Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for prompt and accurate processing and payment of accounts payable invoices. This position helps resolve problems and discrepancies, responds to vendor inquiries, researches invoices, and helps train new employees within the department.

The Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for prompt and accurate processing and payment of accounts payable invoices. This position helps resolve problems and discrepancies, responds to vendor inquiries, researches invoices, and helps train new employees within the department.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Process timely payments of more complex vendor invoices and expense vouchers.
- Match purchase orders to invoices and enter invoices into SAP.
- Research and reconcile escalated invoice payment disputes in a timely manner.
- Identify problems and inconsistencies within the accounts payable process and recommend appropriate corrective procedures.
- Analyze invoice/expense reports monthly with department Supervisor.
- Create new vendor files, maintain vendor records, and maintain control reports.
- Match checks with invoices indicating signature priority.
- Answer customer and vendor inquiries and interact with vendors regarding issues relating to invoices.
- Comply with corporate procedures and work with department Supervisor to ensure team is following proper internal controls.
- Help train and cross-train AP Coordinators as needed.
- Associates degree or experience in lieu of degree
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience with SAP, or similar system preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate or higher level of Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to reconcile data and analyze variances.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner.
- Travel when required.
