Role
Plans, develops, implements, and monitors organization-wide total wellness initiatives. Creates awareness, motivation, and participation in Rogue's Wellness programs to encourage employees to adopt a well-rounded healthy lifestyle. Assists the Employee Services department on projects, clerical functions and serves as back up to support the Benefits and Payroll Specialists. Oversees and leads safety committee meetings as for quarterly safety training meetings. Responsible for delivery, documentation, updates, and maintenance of safety training records. Works in conjunction with the Employee Services department to support Rogue's Vision, Mission, and Values.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
E 30% Creates and coordinates Rogue's continually evolving Wellness Program. Focuses on employee health and loyalty while ensuring Rogue's Guiding Values are followed. Responds to employee questions and pro-actively offers information on Wellness Programs. Drafts timely communications and compiles relevant wellness data for management review and program success.
E 30% Supports the Employee Services department by assisting with employee benefits onboarding and periodic updates to keep information current, assisting in monthly invoices/reconciliations, and scanning confidential employee information. Serves as backup to other department functions as needed.
E 20% Promotes the well-being of Rogue’s team members by acting as Co-Chair of the Safety Committee. Conducts or facilitates employee training on applicable safety standards. Coordinates quarterly safety committee meetings. Ensures each department has representation on the safety committee, committee members are trained and certified as necessary, and records are accurately maintained.
E 15% Administers the offsite Gym Benefit for employees, including tracking, enrollment, and billings. Implement health related activities including biometric screenings, lunch and learn seminars, on-site blood drives, flu-shots, healthy challenges, and competitions, along with other general activities.
E 5% Proactively performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements
Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education: A High School Diploma or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Excellent organizational and editing skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Employee must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements: Some adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers while using computer. Communicating with others to exchange information. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discernments in sound. Close and continuous visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
Work Environment: Normal workday with occasional overtime. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery.
