Full Job Description

Job Title: Machine Operator

Department: Molding

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Purpose: To safely and efficiently cut and assemble Blow molding products

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ability to use sharp cutting tool safely.
  • Ability to lift 35-50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in fast timed production environment.
  • Assemble, and package product following work instructions
  • Verify quality of product produced and respond accordingly
  • Measure product weight and reject as needed.
  • Safe operation blow molding machines
  • Assist with material handling and machine setup if requested by shift supervisor
  • Maintain safe working conditions and housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience working with plastic products in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle and work with knives and cutting tools
  • Ability to use sound judgment to access product quality
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Must be able to speak and write in English.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to spend 90% of the day standing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

  • The ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
  • The ability to work in a high noise level facility
  • Non-toxic fumes may be present at various times during the day
  • Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift, and a 6 day work week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
