This position is with Technology Services Infrastructure Services. This position requires demonstrated knowledge of technical fundamentals and concepts in a Network Operations Center environment. We are staffed 7/24/365. The hours are 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
This position is open to VCU employees only. Only those able to work these specific hours need apply.
General Responsibilities
- Assist in resolution of network and server issues by using investigational and networking tools.
- Monitor and notify system/network owners of potential security breaches and assists with remediation.
- Assist with daily reports and incident handling.
- Ability to recognize, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Server racking and de-racking.
- Disk wipes.
- Running SAN and fiber cables.
