Finance Associate
Cyrq Energy
The Finance Associate will be responsible for developing and presenting financial models regarding current operations, potential acquisitions, development projects, and periodic reporting to Business Managers, Senior Management, Board of Directors, debtholders and shareholders.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis
- Collects, analyzes, and monitors key financial and performance data related to operations, capital projects, and assigned business areas.
- Completes budget variance analysis including report development and interpretation of results to management.
- Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses.
Organizational Support
- Develops corporate, project financing, and/or acquisition financial models in Excel based on past, present and projected financial performance operating data.
- Prepares financial forecasts including model development.
- Prepares financial and key performance indicator (KPI) analysis reports and data visualization for Business Managers, Senior Management, Board of Directors and shareholders.
- Prepares periodic operating reports and compliance reports including DSCR for lenders.
- Drives process improvements in routine tasks for efficiency.
- Supports annual budgeting process for assigned business units and company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- One or more years of experience in a finance-related role. Energy, Investment Banking or Private Equity experience preferred.
- High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Working understanding of best practices in financial modeling.
- Strong conceptual knowledge of accounting and finance.
- Conceptual understanding of data migration among various platforms (spreadsheets, planning software and ERP system).
- Prior use of Workday Adaptive Planning and NetSuite preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to complete domestic travel to field and office locations, up to 10%.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Able to type and view a computer screen for concentrated periods of time.
- Occasional work outside of normal working hours.
- Ability to occasionally lift, up to 20 pounds.
Location:
- On-site position based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
