Position Summary:
This position manages the Supply Planning function for the Fem Care business. The Supply Planning Manager provides oversight and guidance to the Supply Planning team and functions as the leading point of contact and voice to the Commercial, Marketing, Operations and Demand Planning functions. This position is responsible for managing working capital investment to achieve financial and customer service objectives. The Supply Planning Manager provides leadership for continuous improvement and productivity efforts including development of best practices in the supply planning process which includes maintaining ERP system processes, usage, and training requirements. Interface requirements extend to all EPC functional areas including North America and International locations. This position helps establish and executes supply chain strategies and processes for the plants and works in conjunction with global planning groups under guidance provided by the Fem Care Sr. Supply Chain Manager.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and direct departmental personnel including performance management and development plans for each.
- Identify and coordinate system training requirements for department personnel.
- Nominate or delegate staff personnel for enlistment on supply Planning project team assignments as warranted.
- Achieve OTIF customer service order fulfillment objectives while maintaining inventory levels within targeted goals.
- Oversee development of master production plans based on forecast and customer requirements in a timely and efficient manner to support Marketing/Sales and Operational objectives through supply and production capacity analysis.
- Oversee management of display and promotional product coordination with internal and/or external third-party contact manufactured production.
- Oversee and/or lead product restage transitions and new product launches.
- Ensure alignment on the execution of production plans with engineering, QA, R&D, and procurement.
- Identify and analyze key issues relating to prior month results and outlook for achieving plan to determine corrective actions needed to realign back to plan.
- Lead monthly Supply Point Review meetings and provide analyses of production requirements for Operations to align on supply commitments and any associated impact to operational performance and overhead absorption.
- Lead the Annual Business Plan (ABP) process for Fem Care in conjunction with Demand Planning, Operations, and Finance to develop plant production requirements and associated inventory investment projections.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to the current and future ERP planning systems including maintenance of item master data and planning system parameters in SAP and planning systems.
- Function in a leadership capacity while working collaboratively with Operations leadership on Make/Buy decisions for the Supply Planning group.
- Collaborate with Brand Managers on SKU Rationalization efforts to effectively manage SKU portfolios.
- Implement new planning procedures, processes and guidelines as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field.
- 5-10 Years of Supply Planning experience in a consumer product manufacturing operations environment.
- Demonstrated success in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, TEAMS), Power BI for reporting, SAP, and planning systems such as JDA/Manugistics.
- Proven ability to create planning schedules around complex demands, timeline and constraints.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with business partners and influencing key stakeholders.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and experience in personnel management functioning as a team player with strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking and exercising good judgment.
- Must be flexible, organized, able to work independently and multi-task to excel in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously with priority determinations.
